Can I assemble my bike by myself?
We highly recommend visiting your local bike shop to have a professional bike mechanic build and/or check out your new mode of transportation. Properly truing wheels and setting up the derailleur takes a certain amount of finesse that the average amateur bicyclist doesn’t always have. Your bike has travelled quite a ways to get to you and despite our best efforts to keep your bike safe in transit, sometimes damage occurs and adjusting (or re-adjusting) needs to happen.
Who do you ship with and how long will it take to receive my bike?
We send out most orders through FedEx. Please keep this in mind when you choose a shipping method. If you do not request a signature and you are not home to receive your order, FedEx may choose to leave your package or take it back with them. We occasionally send out smaller orders through USPS.
We try our darndest to get orders out within one business day of receiving it. But sometimes we get backed up and it can take about three business days to get sent out. Once we send out your order, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can check out transit times here:
Do you ship to Canada?
Unfortunately, it’s too expensive to ship outside the country. But we do sell our bikes on Amazon Canada!
Do you ship outside of the continent?
Again, unfortunately, we can't offer free shipping outside of the United States. But if you email your complete address (including postal code) and the item you want shipped to firstname.lastname@example.org, we can get you a custom shipping quote. Please keep in mind, though, that the country of origin is China and this will affect your customs fees.
What size should I pick?
You can refer to one of our sizing charts, accessible by clicking "Sizing and Geometry," just to the right of the bike model you are looking at. The standover height measures your inseam. You need to be able to stand over the top tube.
What’s the widest tires the rims on the mantra can handle?
Can I get some stickers with your awesome logo on it?

Do you guys customize bikes?
At this time, we can’t do customizations for individual customers. But we do offer a plethora of color combinations. You can grab separate components to switch out for a truly customized bike (wheelsets, BMX/Pista/Pursuit handlebars, ergonomic/Pista/triangle grips, etc.).
What's your warranty on your bikes?
Retrospec Bicycles warrants the frame and fork of each new Retrospec Bicycles brand bicycle to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. All other original components and all Retrospec Bicycles brand repair parts, replacement parts, and accessories are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of sixty days from the original date of purchase. How do I cancel my order if it has already been shipped and I haven't received it yet?
Contact us immediately, and we will contact FedEx to see if it the shipment can be re-routed back to us. If it cannot, then you will need to wait for it to arrive and then return it. If we are able to re-route it back to our DC, then we will do so and refund your order upon receipt, minus $40 to cover re-routing shipping & handling.
